Nominations and Renewal of Terms on the Board of Directors of the SHDM

The City of Montreal and the Société d'habitation et de développement de Montréal (SHDM) are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Roger Plamondon and Mr. Jean-Sébastien Pilon to the SHDM Board of Directors, as well as the renewal of Mr. Jean-Jacques Bohémier’s term as Chairman of the Board and the terms of Ms. Danielle Cécile and Mr. Alain Lapointe as Board Members.

In accordance with the SHDM’s governance rules, these appointments were ratified during the executive committee meeting of the City of Montreal on April 9, 2025, and are effective immediately, except for the renewal of the terms of Ms. Cécile and Mr. Lapointe, which will take effect on July 6, 2025.

"I would like to congratulate Mr. Roger Plamondon and Mr. Jean-Sébastien Pilon on their appointment, as well as Mr. Jean-Jacques Bohémier, Ms. Danielle Cécile, and Mr. Alain Lapointe on the renewal of their terms on the SHDM Board of Directors. The complementarity of their expertise will be a major asset in supporting SHDM in the development of off-market housing in Montreal," emphasized Benoit Dorais, Vice President of the Executive Committee and responsible for housing, real estate strategy, property assessment, and legal affairs.

"On behalf of the SHDM Board of Directors, I would like to welcome Mr. Plamondon and Mr. Pilon as new members, and I highlight the renewal of the terms of Ms. Cécile and Mr. Lapointe. It is a privilege to be able to rely on their full range of skills and commitment to support the Board and its committees in their activities," stated Mr. Jean-Jacques Bohémier, Chairman of the Board. "Moreover, I am honored by the trust placed in me with the renewal of my mandate as Chairman of the Board. It is a source of pride to work with the other members and the SHDM team to contribute to building affordable housing in Montreal," Mr. Bohémier added.
